About ImageToDXF
ImageToDXF is built for people who need a quick starting point from a picture, scan, or outline into CAD geometry.
Purpose
ImageToDXF helps makers, engineers, hobbyists, fabricators, and workshop users turn simple raster images into DXF outlines. The goal is not to replace CAD skill. The goal is to reduce the boring first step: tracing an image by hand just to get a usable starting shape.
What the tool does
The converter accepts common image formats, detects likely foreground contours, and writes those contours as DXF geometry. It is most useful for silhouettes, templates, scanned sketches, technical outlines, and simple high-contrast drawings.
What the tool does not do
The tool does not understand real-world dimensions, tolerances, materials, or manufacturing intent. It also cannot reliably infer hidden edges or correct perspective distortion from photographs. Always inspect and edit the output in CAD before using it in production.
Current operating model
The public site is designed around a small free conversion allowance and a lightweight privacy model. Account login, paid credit packs, and third-party advertising are not active unless deliberately enabled later with the required consent and policy controls.
